“In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us.” -1 John 4: 10
God is more interested in our future and our relationship with Him than we are. God made the first move, by giving His only Son, Jesus Christ, to die for our sins (John 3:16). We are now free from the guilt and shame of all past mistakes (Romans 8:1). God is compassionate! He forgives and forgets our sins (Hebrews 8:12). That is good news! God offers us the free gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ because Godwants to develop a meaningful relationship with us. The Bible says that if we confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in our heart that God raised him from the dead, we will be saved (Romans 10:9).
If you want to have a meaningful relationship with God and make a fresh start with a new life, pray this prayer:
I come to You in the Name of Jesus, admitting that I have sinned against you; but I also admit my desire to turn away from sin and my commitment to having a new relationship with you. Thank you for the forgiveness of sin that was already given when you sent Jesus to die for my sins. I confess with my mouth and believe in my heart that Jesus is Lord and the risen Savior. Thank you for changing my life in this very moment, that my life may now bring You glory and honor. Thank you for the gift of eternal life that is promised to every believer. Thank You for saving me!
In Jesus’ Name I pray,
If you prayed this prayer for the first time, we would like to know. Send us an e-mail or share your testimony. We’d love to hear from you!
